Deputy Manager Taxation

1. Litigation & Regulatory Management

• Independently manage GST notices, audits, and departmental inquiries, including drafting responses, submissions, and reconciliations.
• Liaise with tax authorities and external consultants for assessments, investigations, and appellate proceedings.
• Track ongoing litigations and ensure timely submissions, documentation, and closure.

2. GST Compliance & Data Reconciliation

• Oversee accuracy of GST returns including GSTR-6, GSTR-8, GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and annual returns.
• Perform detailed reconciliation of ITC (books vs GSTR-2B), outward supplies, and tax liability.
• Identify discrepancies and drive corrective actions, including amendments and re-reporting.
• Work with large datasets to ensure completeness and accuracy of tax reporting.

3. Advisory & Tax Governance

• Provide support in evaluating GST implications of business transactions, including new product flows, commercial arrangements, and contractual structures.
• Identify and drive automation and process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency of tax operations.
• Drive standardization and strengthening of tax processes across group entities.

4. Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with finance, business, product, and operations teams to ensure tax considerations are embedded in processes.
• Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on GST positions and compliance requirements.
