Deputy Manager - Sales Operations

Position Overview:

We are looking for a high-calibre, data-driven professional to drive Sales Operations, Sales Analytics and Business Intelligence. The role will be responsible for strengthening sales performance management, driving data-led decision-making and providing business insights to the sales leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales Performance & KPI Management:

- Track and analyse key sales KPIs including target achievement, growth, productivity, dealer performance and sales contribution

- Develop performance scorecards and management reports for sales leadership

- Conduct variance analysis against targets, budgets and previous periods

- Identify performance gaps and provide actionable insights to improve sales effectiveness

- Support sales planning, forecasting and performance reviews

2. Sales Data Analytics & Business Intelligence:

- Analyse sales data across regions, products, channels, dealers and other relevant business dimensions

- Identify trends, business drivers, gaps and growth opportunities

- Translate data into actionable insights and recommendations for sales leadership

- Develop analytical frameworks to support business and sales decisions

3. Sales Reporting & Dashboarding:

- Develop and maintain sales dashboards, MIS and management reports using Power BI and Advanced Excel

- Build interactive dashboards to provide visibility into sales performance and business trends

- Automate recurring reports and improve reporting efficiency and accuracy

- Continuously enhance reporting formats based on evolving business requirements

4. Data Governance, Validation & Reconciliation:

- Ensure accuracy, completeness and consistency of sales data across various systems and reporting sources

- Drive data validation and reconciliation processes

- Identify data discrepancies and coordinate with relevant stakeholders for resolution

- Establish standardised processes to improve data quality and reporting reliability

5. Sales Operations & Stakeholder Management:

- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, IT and other cross-functional teams to drive sales operations

- Partner with sales teams to understand operational challenges and develop data-led solutions

- Support sales reviews and management meetings with relevant analysis and insights

- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely availability and accuracy of business data

- Identify opportunities to improve sales processes, reporting and operational efficiency

Candidate Profile:

- MBA/PGDM from IIMs is mandatory

- 1.5 - 4 years of relevant experience in Sales, Sales Operations, Sales Analytics, Business Intelligence or related roles

- Strong hands-on experience in sales operations and performance management

- Strong proficiency in Power BI and Advanced Excel

- Good understanding of sales processes, KPIs, target management and sales performance tracking

- Experience in data validation, reconciliation and management reporting

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to convert data into actionable business insights

- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

- Experience in the Building Materials industry will be an added advantage
