Job Summary

The Deputy Manager - MEP Design at Godrej Industries Group is responsible for overseeing the mechanic and electrical design for residential and commercial real estate projects, ensuring compliance with design standards and authority requirements. • The Deputy Manager - MEP Design will oversee mechanic and electrical design for residential and commercial real estate projects, ensuring compliance with design standards and authority requirements.
• The role includes reviewing consultant deliverables, coordinating with cross-functional teams, supporting procurement and commercial functions, and ensuring timely design approvals and execution support.
• Coordination level understanding of other services such as HVAC, Electrical, PA SYSTEM, CCTV SYSTEM, BMS SYSTEM, COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, ETC.
• Good in Co- ordination with relevant stake holders for follow up and approvals.
• Good in Review and approval of consultant / contractors shop drawings and material submittals.
• Attending site visit and Timely review and response to RFI and queries from Site.
• Coordination with Commercial and procurement team for cost inputs and tender technical discussions.
• Active participation in meeting and discussions with valid inputs.
• Technical review of products for rate contract.
• Coordinate with liaising department.
• Coordination and document preparation for Authority submission.
• Should be able to provide real time solution wherever possible.
• Preparation updating of tracker, design compliance reports etc.
• Monitor and control the project deliverables from consultants and contractors.
• Manage internal external stakeholders .
• Prepare micro schedule for deliverables.
• Review consultant invoice and variation claim by consultants.
• Manage resources for in-house working.
• Motivate the team to complete the projects in an effective and timely manner.
• Should be Technically efficient in managing the queries .
• Elder care for those who might need to extend support to senior family members .

Qualifications

• Qualification: B.Tech/B.E (Mechanical).

Experience

• Experience in MEP design experience in mechanical services within the real estate industry, preferably with Grade A developers handling residential and commercial projects.

Key Skills

• Experience in MEP design within the real estate industry, preferably with Grade A developers handling residential and commercial projects.
• Auto CAD Knowledge for review of drawings with basic drafting skill.
• Strong knowledge of local and international design standards, code requirements, and local authority compliance.
• Experience with Etap and Dilux software for MEP design and infrastructure planning.
• Ability to perform design calculations such as electrical load estimation, short circuit, voltage drop, and equipment selection.
• Competence in space planning, schematic design, and LIFTS traffic analysis.
• Good communication and decision-making skills, with a positive approach to change and team collaboration.
• Experience in stakeholder management and coordination with services such as HVAC, PLUMBING, FIRE FIGHTING, PA SYSTEM, CCTV, BMS, and COMMUNICATION SYSTEMs.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
