Deputy Manager/Manager - Mine Planning

About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced Mine Planning Professional to join our Goa Mining Operations. He will be responsible for developing long-term and short-term mine plans, preparing geological block models, optimizing mine design, and supporting production planning to ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable mining operations.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor Long-Term, Medium-Term, and Short-Term Mine Plans in line with production targets and business objectives.
• Develop and maintain block models using geological and exploration data.
• Prepare mine designs, pit layouts, pushback plans, haul road designs, and dump planning.
• Conduct mine scheduling and production forecasting to optimize resource utilization.
• Coordinate with Geology, Survey, Production, and Operations teams for effective mine planning.
• Analyze ore reserves, ore quality, stripping ratios, and production parameters.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual mine production plans.
• Ensure compliance with approved Mining Plans, DGMS regulations, IBM guidelines, and statutory requirements.
• Support budgeting, life-of-mine planning, and mine optimization studies.
• Generate technical reports, presentations, and management dashboards.
• Recommend improvements in mine planning practices to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
• Develop mine plans, schedules, and budgets using Surpac software.
• Conduct data mining and analysis to optimize production processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project execution and monitoring.
  

Desired Candidate Profile

• 8-10 years of experience in Mine Planning or related field (Mining Engineering).
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Datamine, Surpac, and other relevant tools.
• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering (B.Tech / B.E.).
• Proven track record of successfully executing projects from planning to execution.
