Deputy Manager / Manager - Legal ( Real Estate )

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Real Estate Lawyer to manage legal aspects of real estate transactions, property development projects, and land-related matters in Maharashtra. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of Maharashtra land laws, RERA regulations, along with strong negotiation and drafting skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate property-related agreements such as agreements for sale, development agreement, joint development agreements, sale deeds, conveyance deeds etc.).
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts/agreements related to the support functions of the Company.
• Conduct title due diligence, revenue record scrutiny, encumbrance checks and search reports.
• Ensure compliance with Maharashtra-specific real estate laws, including MLRC, RERA, MOFA and other applicable legislations.
• Handle RERA registrations, updates, and compliance filings.
• Identify legal risks in transactions and propose mitigation strategies.
• Provide opinions on property related issues.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: LL.B. / LL.M. from a recognized university.
• Experience: Minimum 6 years of hands-on real estate legal practice, preferably in Maharashtra.
• Strong knowledge of Maharashtra-specific property laws.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.

Preferred Background

• Prior work experience in a reputed law firm, real estate company, or corporate legal department.
• Prior working experience in RERA Compliance and Registration is mandatory.
