Deputy Manager - Machining

Roles and Responsibilities:

• To carry out the Inhouse Engine parts machining components Crankcase, Cylinder Head, Cylinder barrel, Cover clutch & Magneto, Crankshaft machining.,etc.
• Studies blueprints, specifications, drawings, Manuals or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, Sequence of operations and set up requirements.
• Selects, Aligns and secures holding fixtures, Cutting tools, Attachments, Accessories and material on machines as necessary to machines parts as required
• Calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow and depth and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, Input or edit computerized machine control media according to established guidelines and procedure.
• Carry out CNC programming & optimize machining application for two wheeler parts. - shall have hands-on experience in Fanuc controllers.
• Basic understanding about preventive & predictive maintenance of CNC Machines
• Ensure readiness and availability of manufacturing facilities
• Provide support to ensuring machining facility readiness considering all field failures
• Develop understanding of machining operations, Takt time, Cycle time and throughput time of different manufacturing processes
• Identify critical and bottleneck work stations and use different work stations appropriately for smooth work allocation
• Support initiatives to improve productivity/ cost saving, across the shops.
• Monitor and ensure on-time closure of production related issues
• Problem solving techniques

Job Requirements :

• 6-12 years of experience in a similar role in the automobile or auto components industry.
• B.E./B.Tech Degree
• Strong technical background in automobile industries
• Handling of special process machines like grinding, washing m/c, leak testing & others.
