Deputy Manager - HR

We are seeking an experienced HR professional for our manufacturing facility at Chakan, Pune. The incumbent will play a key role in driving Plant HR initiatives, Industrial Relations, employee engagement, statutory compliance and workforce management while partnering closely with business and plant leadership.

Role & responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end Plant HR operations for the manufacturing facility.
• Lead employee relations initiatives and maintain a positive industrial relations climate.
• Support and manage Union interactions, collective discussions and Long-Term Settlement (LTS) processes.
• Ensure adherence to all labour laws and statutory compliances including Factories Act, CLRA, PF, ESIC, Bonus, Gratuity and other applicable regulations.
• Oversee payroll governance, attendance management and related compliance requirements.
• Manage contract labour compliance and workforce administration.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding and manpower planning activities for plant operations.
• Drive employee engagement, retention and capability-building initiatives.
• Partner with business stakeholders on performance management and talent development programs.
• Handle labour inspections, audits and interactions with statutory authorities.

Preferred candidate profile

• Full-time MBA/MSW/PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent qualification.
• 10-15 years of HR experience in Automotive, Auto Component, Engineering or Manufacturing Industry.
• Strong exposure to Industrial Relations, Union Management and Long-Term Settlements (LTS).
• Sound understanding of labour laws and manufacturing HR practices.
• Hands-on experience in payroll administration and statutory compliance management.
• Strong stakeholder management, negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
