Position Title -- Deputy Manager - Accounts & Finance

Location - Mumbai

Department - Finance & Accounts

1. Accounts & Financial Reporting

• Prepare quarterly/yearly financial statements under IGAAP, including consolidation of financials.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting, month-end/year-end closing, journal entries and MIS reporting.
• Maintain Fixed Asset Register, depreciation workings and ensure accuracy through reconciliations and timely reporting.
• Maintain accounts of Gift LLP in Tally in accordance with applicable GIFT regulations.

2. Income Tax & TDS Compliance

• Support/prepare income tax returns for companies, trusts and individuals and tax audit reports.
• Prepare TDS workings, ensure monthly payments and timely TDS return filings.
• Calculate advance tax and coordinate timely payments.
• Monitor the Income Tax portal for notices and support timely responses/compliances.

3. GST Compliance

• Prepare GST workings and ensure timely filing of GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B.
• Reconcile input tax credit between books and GSTR-2B and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare and file GSTR-9/9C and handle GST registration amendments and related applications.

Role Specific Competencies

• Strong understanding of accounting, financial reporting and month-end/year-end closure.
• Working knowledge of Income Tax, TDS and GST compliance and statutory filings.
• Proficiency in Tally, MS Excel and financial reconciliation/reporting.
• Attention to detail with ability to identify and resolve accounting/tax discrepancies.
• Knowledge of IGAAP and financial consolidation.

Formal Qualifications / Prior Work Experience

• Graduate with 3-6 years of experience
• CA Inter / B.Com / M.Com or equivalent qualification with 5-6 years of relevant experience in Accounts & Finance, Taxation and GST compliance.
• Prior experience in a CA Firm is preferred, particularly exposure to audit, financial statements, taxation and statutory compliance.
• Experience in financial services, investment management or regulated entities would be an added advantage.
