Department - Express claims Unit ( Handling claims upto 1 lac)

Role Purpose

To investigate, evaluate, process, and settle commercial lines insurance claims up to an authorized limit of INR 1 lakh, ensuring compliance with policy terms, service standards, and company guidelines while delivering a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Claims Handling & Assessment

• Review and process commercial lines claims (up to INR 1 lakh).
• Verify policy coverage, terms, conditions, exclusions, and endorsements applicable to the reported loss.
• Assess claim admissibility based on policy documents and supporting documents.
• Calculate claim liability and recommend settlement amounts in accordance with policy provisions.
• Obtain and evaluate claim-related documents
• Communicate claim requirements, deficiencies, and decisions clearly to insureds, brokers, agents, and internal stakeholders.
• Provide timely updates on claim status and expected next steps.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Insurance, Finance, or related discipline.
• Insurance certifications (e.g., III) preferred.

Experience

• 2 to 5 years of experience in General Insurance Claims.
• Experience in handling commercial lines claims such as Property, Fire and Marine

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
