Deputy Manager - Account Management

Responsibilities

• Manage UK book of business.
• Placement of insurance for clients in accordance with the SME business strategy.
• Involved in end-to-end broking related activities for a segment of clients.
• Proactively identify in-scope policies and initiate the renewal process.
• Review client exposures for major coverage gaps and determine whether to remarket or renew with the incumbent based on predefined rules.
• Carry out re-market exercises where necessary by comparing cover, claims, endorsements, and premium.
• Make carrier selection and provide recommendations.
• Compare expiring and renewal coverage and highlight any significant differences to clients.
• Issue final renewal documentation upon client authorization to bind while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Produce relevant MI and analyze trends to drive efficiencies.
• Lead weekly meetings and ad hoc discussions with onshore stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Knowledge: Broad understanding of insurance concepts and policy lifecycle.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Hands-on experience working across various stages of the renewal process.
• Preferred domain certification.

Internal Hiring Criteria

• Minimum 1 year tenure in the organization (preferably SPA).
• Average QPR/MPR above 3.
• Strong process and domain knowledge.
• End-to-end policy lifecycle knowledge.
• Kaizen contribution of 3 or more in the last year.
• Domain Certification (AINS, Cert II, or equivalent).
• Demonstrated soft and technical skills.
• Experience interacting directly with onshore teams through emails and calls.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Logical thinking and ability to challenge the status quo.
• Ability to analyze situations and make critical decisions.
