Deputy General Manager - Warehouse & Logistics (Spares)

Purpose of the Role

Finalizing warehousing operation strategy basis benchmarking and industry trends. Evaluation of pros and cons for various models viz. dark stores, C&F, Own warehouses etc. and decide extent of outsourcing.

Devising warehousing penetration strategy in terms of area footprint and locations for optimizing parts delivery lead time to PAN India channel partners.

Finalizing KPIs for warehouse operation in conjunction with service level requirements of customers and ensuring its adherence.

Timely actions for enhancing warehouse output capacity to meet the need of business.

Close coordination with Logistics team for the sooth handover of consignments with appropriate documentation.

Preparation of warehousing budget for ensuring adequate infra in terms of manpower, racking and other headers.

Ensuring implementation of adequate IT infra including hardware and WMS/TMS system for improving operation efficiency.

Maintaining inventory accuracy within desired norms by conducting PIV, WTW inventory verification etc. as per intended frequency.

Developing comprehensive Safety SOPs and conducting multiple safety audits through internal and external agencies for ensuring ZERO TRCs.

Interacting regularly with P&SQ team for expediting the settlement of commercial contracts

Desired Candidate Profile

Relevant Experience :

1.Experience of 15-20 years in automobile spare parts industry in above domain

2.Sound experience in warehouse strategy management in an upscaling operation

3.Should be proficient in dealing with multiple warehouse service providers

4.Exposure to allied functions of spare parts viz. Procurement planning, transportation, packaging etc.

Skills & Competencies

1.Sound functional expertise of Warehousing and Logistics function in an upscaling and digitalized environment

2.Good understanding of legal aspects of warehousing function

3.Well versed with application of SAP and WMS function
