Deputy General Manager- Stores Head

Role & responsibilities

Materials Management:

Lead and manage all stores operations including receipt, storage, preservation, issuance, and disposal of materials.

Establish inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels.

Ensure material availability for production, maintenance, projects, and plant operations.

Scrap Management & Disposal:

Oversee tendering, auctioning, disposal approvals, and scrap evacuation activities.

Monitor disposal of obsolete inventory and equipment.

Review scrap generation trends and recommend improvement opportunities.

Hazardous Waste & Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure disposal of hazardous waste, fly ash, bed material, and other regulated waste streams.

Coordinate with EHS and regulatory agencies.

Drive SAP-based inventory management and process discipline.

Implement TPM, Lean, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Preferred candidate profile

Experience- more than 14years

Chemical/ Fertiliser industry preferred.
