Deputy General Manager - Marketing

Role & responsibilities

• Visit customers regularly for business development, company introduction, and product presentations.
• Understand customer organization structure and build strong business relationships with key decision-makers.
• Identify customer requirements, conduct technical discussions, generate enquiries, and coordinate for enquiry processing.
• Prepare and submit quotations, negotiate with customers, and ensure timely quotation follow-ups.
• Maintain a healthy enquiry pipeline to achieve sales targets.
• Coordinate with internal teams for order processing, HO follow-ups, dispatch support, invoice submission, and material delivery.
• Follow up with customers for payments and ensure timely collections.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing, and collect market intelligence.
• Support tender/e-Tender activities and other business development requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

• Immediate joiners preferred (maximum notice period: 1 months).
• Good knowledge of local market with excellent English and regional language communication skills.
• Willingness to travel 15 - 20 days per month.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong telephonic communication and customer handling skills.
• Good commercial knowledge including GST and basic business processes.
• Prior experience in Transformers is preferred.
• Experience in sales/business development of MV/HV Switchgear, Transformers, HV Test Equipment, HT Cables, or related electrical products.
• Strong network and relationships with end users, purchase teams, Electricity Boards, Power Plants, Steel & Cement Industries, PSUs, and other industrial customers.
