Deputy Director (Sanskrit Studies & Research)

The Deputy Director (Sanskrit Studies & Research) will lead, strengthen, and expand comprehensive Sanskrit initiatives across Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan through academic administration, research support, cultural education, and institutional projects. The ideal candidate will combine strong academic background in Sanskrit with administrative capabilities to preserve and promote traditional wisdom.

Key Responsibilities

• Departmental Leadership: Oversee all Sanskrit activities of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, including direct management of the Sanskrit Post-Graduate (PG) Studies & Research department.
• Institutional Projects Management: Manage and support key institutional initiatives, including competitive examinations, essay competitions, and academic journals.
• Program Design & Execution: Design and monitor Sanskrit courses, workshops, and cultural activities aimed at enriching student engagement and research.
• Executive Collaboration: Report directly to the Director and collaborate closely with senior officials across departments.

Qualifications & Experience

• Advanced degree (Master's / Ph.D. preferred) in Sanskrit, Indology, or a related discipline matching the profile requirements.
• Proven track record in academic administration, curriculum design, or institutional project management.
• Prior experience in conducting or supervising academic research, academic publishing, or editing scholarly journals.

Core Competencies

• Deep knowledge of Sanskrit literature, grammar, philosophy, and traditional academic structures.
• Strong leadership, project management, and organizational abilities.
• Effective communication skills to interface with faculty, students, and senior leadership.
