Role Description The Deputy Branch Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, responsible for supporting overall branch operations and business growth. This role involves supervising sales teams, driving achievement of branch targets, and ensuring high standards of customer service and compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines. The Deputy Branch Manager coordinates daily sales activities, monitors performance metrics, and implements local business development initiatives to expand the customer base. The role also includes mentoring and coaching staff, managing branch administration, and collaborating with regional leadership to execute strategic plans. Regular interaction with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders is expected to maintain strong relationships and promote Bajaj Life's products and services.
Qualifications

• Strong leadership and people management skills, including team supervision, performance coaching, and conflict resolution.
• Sales and business development capabilities, with experience in achieving targets, managing pipelines, and driving branch growth.
• Customer service and relationship management skills, with the ability to handle queries, resolve issues, and build long-term client trust.
• Operational and administrative competencies, including branch process oversight, documentation accuracy, and compliance adherence.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret performance data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in English and local languages preferred.
• Prior experience in life insurance, banking, or financial services in a supervisory or managerial role is highly beneficial.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.
• Comfort with digital tools, CRM systems, and mobile/online platforms used for sales, service, and reporting.
• Ability to work on-site in Chennai, adapt to a fast-paced environment, and collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
