Department Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Manage overall operations of the assigned department and ensure achievement of sales targets and KPIs.
• Drive sales performance through effective merchandise presentation, promotions, and customer engagement.
• Ensure excellent customer service standards and resolve customer queries and escalations promptly.
• Monitor stock availability, replenishment, inventory accuracy, and shrinkage control.
• Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports and take corrective actions to improve business performance.
• Lead, motivate, and develop team members to achieve productivity and service excellence.
• Conduct team briefings, training sessions, and performance reviews.
• Ensure visual merchandising standards are maintained as per company guidelines.
• Maintain store hygiene, safety, and compliance with operational processes and SOPs.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for stock management, promotions, and operational support.
• Manage manpower planning, roster scheduling, attendance, and productivity of the department team.

Preferred candidate profile

• Graduate/Post Graduate in any discipline.
• 3-5 years of experience in retail store operations, preferably in fashion, apparel, lifestyle, or organized retail.
• Strong understanding of sales management, inventory control, customer service, and team handling.
• Good analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to drive business results and manage departmental profitability.
• Experience in handling a team and achieving departmental targets.
