Key Responsibilities of a DORA

1. OT Preparation: Prepare the dental operating room, instruments, equipment, and surgical trays before procedures.
2. Surgical Assistance: Assist dentists and surgeons during dental surgeries by providing instruments and materials as required.
3. Sterilization and Infection Control: Ensure proper sterilization of instruments and adherence to infection-control protocols.
4. Patient Preparation: Help prepare patients for procedures and provide basic pre-operative and post-operative support.
5. Equipment Management: Check the availability and functioning of dental surgical equipment and maintain records.
6. Documentation: Maintain OT registers, procedure records, sterilization logs, and inventory records.
7. Patient Safety: Follow hospital protocols for biomedical waste disposal, hygiene, and safety.
