Job Title : Demi Chef de Partie - Pastry
Department : Pastry / Bakery
Reports to : Chef de Partie - Pastry / Sous Chef
Job Summary:
The Demi Chef de Partie - Pastry assists in preparing high-quality pastries, baked goods, and desserts under the guidance of the Pastry CDP. This role is vital in ensuring consistency, creativity, and cleanliness in the pastry section.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare components of desserts, cakes, tarts, breads, and other baked goods.
- Assist in the plating and presentation of pastry items for service.
- Follow recipes and SOPs accurately to ensure product consistency.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper storage of pastry mise en place and ingredients.
- Operate pastry kitchen equipment safely and responsibly.
- Support pastry Commis Chefs and apprentices.
- Maintain hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards (HACCP).
Skills & Qualifications:
- Diploma in Pastry Arts or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of hands-on pastry kitchen experience.
- Knowledge of basic baking techniques and dessert presentation.
- Attention to detail, creativity, and good organizational skills.
