We are seeking a Capital Markets Team Leader with 6-10 years of experience in Client Lifecycle Management (CLM), KYC, onboarding, and people management to lead a team supporting client onboarding, KYC reviews, compliance screening, account maintenance, tax documentation, and periodic review activities for institutional and corporate banking clients. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day operations, coaching analysts, maintaining quality and compliance standards, handling escalations, and driving operational excellence through workforce management, reporting, and continuous improvement.
What are we looking for
Bachelor s degree in Commerce, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field preferred.
6-10 years of experience in Client Lifecycle Management, KYC, Onboarding, Financial Crime Compliance, or Capital Markets Operations.
Strong understanding of onboarding, KYC/CDD, screening, tax operations, account maintenance, and regulatory requirements.
Knowledge of FATCA, CRS, beneficial ownership, sanctions screening, and periodic refresh processes.
Strong people leadership, coaching, stakeholder management, and escalation management skills.
Ability to manage performance in SLA-driven environments.
Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and workflow management platforms
Candidate must be flexible to work US, EMEA, APAC, or rotational shifts based on business requirements.
Candidate may be required to support critical business, audit, regulatory, or remediation initiatives outside standard working hours when required.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of analysts supporting client onboarding, KYC reviews, account maintenance, screening investigations, and periodic refresh activities.
Monitor daily queue health, productivity, SLA adherence, and quality performance, taking appropriate actions to address backlogs and workflow challenges.
Coach, mentor, and support team members through regular feedback sessions, case reviews, and performance discussions.
Review escalated client onboarding and KYC cases requiring additional diligence, regulatory interpretation, or stakeholder coordination.
Ensure compliance with client procedures, AML/KYC regulations, tax documentation requirements, audit standards, and internal controls.
Review quality outcomes, identify recurring defects, and implement corrective actions to drive decision consistency and risk mitigation.
Prepare operational reports covering productivity, quality, client onboarding metrics, regulatory exceptions, and team performance.
Partner with Compliance, Relationship Managers, Tax Operations, Legal, Quality, and Training teams to support process improvements and governance initiatives.
Support hiring, onboarding, nesting, and development of analysts while fostering a culture of accountability and operational excellence.
Contribute to root cause analysis, control enhancements, and workflow optimization initiatives.
