Experience: 12+ years overall IT experience, preferably with significant delivery/program management experience

Technology: Google Cloud Platform (GCP), DevSecOps, Java, APIs/Microservices, PostgreSQL, SQL Server

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Delivery Lead to lead and govern a large-scale GCP cloud migration and application modernization program for a major automotive customer in the United States.

The role will be responsible for governing a portfolio of 40+ application migration/modernization initiatives, coordinating with application owners, architects, engineering teams, cloud/platform teams, security teams, and other stakeholders to drive applications from assessment and architecture through migration and completion.

The Delivery Lead will manage a multidisciplinary team comprising Technical Architects, Technical Leads, Cloud Engineers and other engineering resources, while maintaining overall visibility of delivery status, dependencies, risks, issues and blockers.

This position requires a strong combination of delivery leadership, stakeholder management and technical understanding of cloud migration and modernization.

Technical Skills

The candidate should possess sufficient technical depth to effectively engage with architects and engineering teams and understand cloud migration and modernization discussions.

Google Cloud Platform

Application Architecture

• Good understanding of enterprise application architecture.
• Experience working with Java-based enterprise applications.
• Understanding of APIs and service-based application integration.
• Familiarity with modern application architectures and modernization concepts.

DevSecOps

• Understanding of CI/CD and DevSecOps concepts.
• Ability to work with engineering/platform teams on deployment pipeline and release dependencies.
• Understanding of security considerations within application delivery.

Database Technologies

• Good working knowledge of relational databases, particularly:
• PostgreSQL
• SQL Server
• Understanding of database migration considerations and application/database dependencies.

Experience & Qualifications

• 12+ years of IT industry experience preferred.
• Good experience in delivery/program management roles.
• Experience managing enterprise-scale application migration, modernization or cloud transformation programs.
• Experience managing portfolios involving multiple applications and parallel workstreams.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams of 10+ members.
• Hands-on technical background earlier in the candidate's career would be highly desirable.
• Experience with GCP or another major public cloud platform, with GCP strongly preferred.
• Strong experience working with enterprise customers and senior stakeholders.
• Automotive industry experience would be an added advantage
