Delivery Director (Utilities)

Job Description

Responsible for leading end-to-end delivery operations for Utilities and Geospatial business portfolios, ensuring successful execution of programs/projects, customer satisfaction, revenue growth, profitability, and operational excellence. The role drives strategic account management, delivery governance, resource planning, business transformation, and innovation while building strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of Utilities and Geospatial programs across global customers.
• Own P&L, revenue, margin, utilization, and delivery performance targets.
• Drive customer satisfaction, account growth, and strategic engagement.
• Ensure program execution excellence through governance, risk management, and quality compliance.
• Manage large cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
• Collaborate with sales and business development teams to support growth initiatives.
• Drive digital transformation, GIS, geospatial analytics, utility network modernization, and operational efficiency programs.
• Establish delivery best practices, process improvements, and automation initiatives.
• Develop talent, succession planning, and leadership capability within the organization.
• Provide executive-level reporting on business performance, risks, opportunities, and strategic initiatives.

 

Attributes

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering from an accredited institution
• Overall exp of 15+ Years in anchoring large Utilities Projects with P&L ownership with  global play.
• Candidates with exposure to Utilities, Communications, GIS, and Geospatial is a Must
• Hands on experience in system implementation projects, preferably in areas like GIS, OMS, SCADA, ADMS, MWM, and Network data management systems (Asset data, EAM, workforce, grids, and controls)
• Exposure to latest trends like network / grid analytics, active network management systems, and predictive analytics will be critical
• Strong program management experience on projects involving large amounts of operational data, integration of various enterprise systems
• Strong collaborator and go getter with high level of ownership

• Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
• A demonstrated passion for developing solutions and applying them to drive business value.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills in both technical and strategic engagements with senior leaders.
