Dealer Development Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage the Dealer Development team to achieve expansion targets.
• Assign territories and dealership acquisition targets to team members.
• Monitor individual and team performance through regular reviews and KPI tracking.
• Provide coaching and on-the-job training to improve negotiation and dealer acquisition skills.
• Guide the team in market mapping, dealer prospecting, and site evaluation.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth dealership onboarding and launch.
• Resolve team escalations and support complex dealer negotiations.
• Conduct regular team meetings to review progress, challenges, and action plans.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, processes, and quality standards.
• Motivate the team to achieve business objectives while maintaining high levels of productivity and engagement.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).
• 5 - 10+ years of experience in Dealer Development, Network Expansion, Business Development, or Channel Sales.
• Prior experience in the automotive, electric vehicle (EV), two-wheeler, commercial vehicle, or dealership industry is highly preferred.
• Proven track record of appointing and expanding dealer networks across assigned territories.
