Datadog Monitoring Engineer

Implement, configure, and maintain Datadog across hybrid on-premises and cloud environments. Integrate Datadog with SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, and other monitoring tools for unified observability. Develop and manage dashboards, monitors, alerts, and performance reports. Integrate monitoring into CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with DevOps, development, and security teams. Troubleshoot performance, availability, and infrastructure issues proactively. Optimise monitoring tools for cost, performance, and reliability. Stay updated on Datadog, SolarWinds, ThousandEyes, cloud, and observability technologies.

Required Skills 3+ years of experience in systems engineering/operations with strong monitoring experience. Hands-on experience with Datadog implementation, configuration, and optimisation. Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and hybrid environments.

Experience Integrating Datadog With Other Monitoring Platforms. Scripting skills in Python and/or Bash. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. Datadog/cloud certifications are a plus. Working Conditions Remote/hybrid work options. Occasional evening/weekend support for maintenance, upgrades, or critical incidents.
