Database Engineer

Job Summary

1+ years of experience in MongoDB Database Administration, supporting enterprise-scale and mission-critical production environments. Manage end-to-end MongoDB platform operations across DEV, TEST, UAT, and PROD environments. Design and implement High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) architectures using Replica Sets, Sharding, and Multi-Data Center deployments. Lead MongoDB incident response, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), problem management, and production issue resolution. Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, proactive health assessments, and platform optimization. Execute and validate backup/restore, Point-in-Time Recovery (PITR), snapshot recovery, and Disaster Recovery drills. Drive automation, platform standardization, modernization, and operational excellence initiatives. Collaborate with application teams on schema design, query optimization, application onboarding, and MongoDB best practices. Support MongoDB upgrades, patching, technology refresh, data center migrations, and compliance with security, risk, audit, and change-management requirements. Mentor junior engineers and maintain technical documentation while partnering effectively with application, infrastructure, security, and audit teams with strong ownership and stakeholder-management skills.
