Role: Database Engineer (with NoSQL)

Experience Range: 5 to 8 Years

Location: Chennai,Hyderabad

Must-Have :

• Strong proficiency in SQL, including complex queries, joins, stored procedures, functions, and database objects.
• Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting relational database systems.
• Practical experience with NoSQL databases, including appropriate data modelling and access patterns.
• Ability to design scalable database schemas, tables, indexes, relationships, and constraints that support application requirements and data integrity.
• Experience implementing database storage procedures and reliable data persistence solutions.
• Expertise in database performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and troubleshooting performance bottlenecks.
• Strong understanding of database normalization, transactions, concurrency, security, backup, recovery, and data integrity principles.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.

Good-to-Have :

• Experience with one or more enterprise relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Exposure to NoSQL platforms such as MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB, or Cosmos DB.
• Knowledge of cloud-managed database services across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with database migration, replication, high availability, clustering, and disaster-recovery solutions.
• Familiarity with database monitoring, capacity planning, and automation using Python, Shell, PowerShell, or similar scripting languages.
• Understanding of data governance, data quality, encryption, access control, and regulatory compliance practices.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices, version control, infrastructure automation, and Agile delivery methodologies.
