Job Title: Database Administrator
Job Location: Hyderabad Job Type: Full-time
Shift: Rotational Shift (5 AM – 2 PM, 9 AM – 5 PM) - IST Work Mode: (Hybrid – we operate from the office 1 day a week)

Coeo is recruiting a strong Database Administrator, we’ll give you the opportunity to grow and develop your capabilities as well as support you through Microsoft certifications. You’ll have experience in:
Experience:
- Develop and maintain database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for data elements and tables in the company.
- Identify and implement database requirements for new or existing applications by working collaboratively with other teams.
- Optimize database performance and efficiency by evaluating and recommending new database technologies.
- Support users and developers by resolving data-related technical issues and troubleshooting queries by guiding them with best practices.
- Execute regular database maintenance tasks, including database defragmentation, backups, and database replication.
- Design, install, configure and maintain database systems, including monitoring, patching, tuning and troubleshooting issues.
- Provide a seamless flow of information by keeping the database running smoothly.
- Ensure data security and integrity, including implementation of access controls, backups and recovery plans.
- Support ongoing database operations to support application and customer activities
Expertise you will bring in:
- 6+ years of experience in database administration or in a similar role
- Experience in
database backup, disaster recovery planning, performance optimization and
data security
- Extensive knowledge of container orchestration technologies including
Docker and
Kubernetes
- Knowledge of database management systems such as
MySQL, Postgres and MSSQL
- Outstanding communication and collaboration skills to work in a team environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to provide quick solutions to issues
- Experience with virtualization and cloud technologies
- Strong knowledge of version control systems and hands-on experience with Git
Nice to Have's:
- Experience in on-call rotation
- Additional database platform experience (DB2, Oracle, etc.)
- Previous experience as a mentor or advisor
