Database Administrator

Job Description:

Muthoot Mercantile Limited is looking for an experienced Database Administrator to manage, maintain, secure, and optimise the organisation's database systems. The candidate should have strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, database performance tuning, backup and recovery, and database security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade database systems.
• Manage Microsoft SQL Server databases and monitor database performance.
• Write and optimise SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and indexes.
• Perform database backup, restoration, and disaster recovery operations.
• Monitor database health, availability, capacity, and performance.
• Implement database security, access controls, and permission management.
• Troubleshoot database errors, connectivity issues, and performance bottlenecks.
• Support database migration, replication, and high-availability solutions.
• Coordinate with application developers and IT infrastructure teams.
• Maintain database documentation and ensure data integrity.
