Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)
Must-Have
Core SQL Server Expertise • Designing and implementing high-availability configurations, including ActivePassive setups using DBaaS (serverless) platforms. • Executing complex ETL processes to support large-scale data migrations. • Ensuring data integrity, performance optimization, and seamless cutover during migration activities.
Database Administration (DBA) Skills
• Installation, configuration & migration of SQL Server (on-prem, VM, Azure SQL) • Backup/restore strategies (Full, Diff, Log, PITR) • High Availability & Disaster Recovery (HA/DR) o Always On Availability Groups o Failover Clustering (FCI) o Log Shipping, Replication • Database security: encryption (TDE, Always Encrypted), auditing, roles & permissions • SQL Server Agent jobs, maintenance plans, resource Governor
Good-to-Have
Experience with Azure implementation is a strong advantage.
Manufacturing domain knowledge is highly desirable.
