About this role
About Us
We are growing our Data & AI practice, which delivers cloud data platforms, data modernisation and migration, analytics and AI-enabled engineering for global enterprise clients. You will work in cross-functional teams on long-term engagements, using modern cloud technologies and AI-assisted engineering practices. Location: Offshore (India) Full-time.
Role Summary Tests data pipelines and data migrations - proving that data is complete, correct and consistent - with automation and clear evidence for sign-off.
Experience Level Total experience Relevant experience (must) Test Engineer 4-7 years 3+ years data / ETL / migration testing Senior Test Engineer 7-10 years 5+ years data testing; 2+ years test automation lead Roles & Responsibilities - Plan and design tests for data pipelines, migrations and reports
- Automate reconciliation: row counts, keys, checksums, column-level comparisons
- Run parallel-run comparisons between legacy and new systems; triage differences
- Build data-quality checks and regression suites in CI
- Test security and privacy: access, masking, data deletion
- Prepare test evidence and sign-off packs; support UAT
- Advanced SQL
- Python for test automation
- ETL / data migration testing
- Data-quality frameworks (Great Expectations, Deequ, dbt tests or similar)
- Defect management and test reporting
- AWS Athena / Glue / Redshift
- Data-diff tools (e.g., Datafold)
- Performance testing of data pipelines
- AI-assisted test generation
Clear communication with remote client stakeholders across time zones; Comfortable using AI coding and productivity tools, and reviewing AI-generated work critically; Agile ways of working; ownership and accountability. Certifications: ISTQB (preferred).
