Data Team Lead

Role: Data Platform Lead Experience: 5 - 10 years Location: Bengaluru Role Summary We are building an AI-native B2B intelligence platform. You will build our core Agentic Harness — a performant, configurable agent layer that powers everything from our database search to sourcing and selling agents. This is a hands-on builder role focused on system design, observability, and agent performance. Roles & Responsibilities:

• Lead the Data Acquisition & Retrieval pod
• .Define the architecture for data ingestion, storage, and serving.
• Architect and scale pipelines to extract, clean, and normalize messy, unstructured data.
• Build multimodal storage and retrieval systems using relational and vector-backed approaches.
• Develop high-performance, agent-consumable internal APIs.
• Drive entity resolution and schema design across the platform.
• Optimize system latency, retrieval relevance, cost, and reliability.
• Mentor engineers, set coding standards, and ensure production readiness . Skills Required Must Have:
• 7+ years in data engineering, platform engineering, or search/retrieval infrastructure.
• Deep hands-on expertise in Python, SQL, and PostgreSQL-based systems.
• Proven experience building production-grade ETL/ELT pipelines for unstructureddata.
• Familiarity with vector search, document indexing, and ranking pipelines.
• Experience building backend services anlines.
• Experience building backend services and APIsTrack record of leading small teams and owning a platform area end-to-end.Comfort thriving in fast-moving, ambiguous environments Good To Have
• Familiarity with pgvector, embedding pipelines, and retrieval tuning for LLMs.
• Background in web crawling, OCR, or document Parsing.
• Experience scaling MVP architectures using object storage (S3), caching (Redis), message brokers (Kafka), or cloud data warehouses (BigQuery/Snowflake) as data volume grows
• Domain experience in B2B commerce, marketplaces, or procurement.
