About this role
How You'll Help Us Keep Climbing (Overview & Key Responsibilities) This candidate will be part of a high-performing team that drives Loyalty performance through analytics. In this role, you will be responsible for developing analytics models, leveraging data from different sources to provide recommendations and actionable insights for business stakeholders in Loyalty and other divisions at Delta, promoting a data-driven approach to decision-making. You will also independently present model results, key findings and insights to business users and leadership, in a digestible way.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and leverage large sets of raw data to deliver actionable insights using SQL, SAS, Python, and other technologies.
- Develop AI/ML models to deliver personalized experiences to customers, improve acquisition and engagement efforts through precise targeting and drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Implement customer data models and tools to make data and insights accessible to Loyalty and other divisions at Delta.
- Track and report key performance metrics across all areas of Customer Engagement & Loyalty.
- Collaborate with business owners to take a data-driven approach in identifying revenue or customer engagement opportunities and recommend actions for further improvement.
- Communicate engagement trends and opportunity areas to the team, business stakeholders, and leaders in a concise and easily consumable way through both written and verbal communication.
- Stay current with the advancements in AI and software engineering tools and identify ways of implementing them to enhance efficiency and deliver business impact.
What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
- 2 to 4 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, computer science or engineering.
- Strong experience in building AI/ML models and delivering data science projects.
- Deep understanding of various machine learning techniques, the ability to formulate an analytical problem and to choose the best technique for data and the business objective.
- Expert-level proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Intermediate proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, etc.
- Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
- Consistently makes safety and security, of self and others, the priority.

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
- Working knowledge of Analytics applications across the Customer lifecycle in any industry
- Working knowledge of statistical/machine learning tools (e.g., R, TensorFlow) preferred
- Experience in designing data models for cloud-based solutions from leading cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, etc.
- Self-motivated and take pride in building great products for key stakeholders.
- Resourceful in finding the data and tools you need to get the job done.
- Not afraid to ask for help when you need it or help teammates when they need a boost.
