Role Description The Data Science Faculty role at FACE Prep is a full-time, on-site position based in Anekal. The faculty member will design and deliver engaging classroom sessions and workshops on core data science topics such as statistics, machine learning, data visualization, and programming for data analysis. Responsibilities include creating and updating curriculum materials, preparing assessments, and providing constructive feedback to learners to help them improve. The role involves mentoring students on projects, guiding them through real-world data problems, and supporting their job readiness through interview preparation and portfolio reviews. The faculty member will also collaborate with the academic and content teams to refine course outcomes, ensure content quality, and keep the program aligned with industry trends.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in data science concepts, including statistics, machine learning algorithms, data preprocessing, and model evaluation.
• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data science (such as Python or R) and familiarity with libraries or tools for data analysis and visualization.
• Experience teaching, mentoring, or delivering training programs, preferably in higher education, corporate training, or bootcamp environments.
• Ability to design structured learning content, assessments, and hands-on projects that support clear learning outcomes.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics in a simple, practical manner.
• Comfort working with diverse learner groups and a commitment to inclusive, learner-centered teaching practices.
• Relevant academic background in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees or industry certifications are an added advantage.
• Up-to-date understanding of industry expectations for data science roles and enthusiasm for helping learners become job-ready.
