Role Description The Data Science Faculty will be responsible for designing and delivering high-quality data science curricula to learners preparing for tech careers. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning lessons, teaching in classroom and lab settings, creating assignments and projects, evaluating student performance, and providing feedback and guidance on concepts such as statistics, machine learning, programming, and data visualization. The role involves collaborating with academic and content teams to keep course material current with industry trends, developing learning resources, and participating in workshops or bootcamps. The faculty member will mentor students on interview preparation, portfolio building, and practical application of data science skills. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Trivandrum.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in data science concepts, including statistics, machine learning, data analysis, and data visualization.
• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data science such as Python or R, and familiarity with relevant libraries and frameworks.
• Experience with data handling tools and platforms, such as SQL databases, spreadsheets, and basic data engineering workflows.
• Ability to design structured curricula, develop teaching materials, and create projects that reflect real-world data science applications.
• Previous teaching, training, or mentoring experience in data science, analytics, computer science, or related fields.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex topics in a clear, accessible manner.
• Comfort working with diverse groups of learners and commitment to inclusive, learner-centered teaching practices.
• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a closely related discipline (relevant industry experience is a plus).
• Familiarity with placement preparation, technical interviews, and career guidance for roles such as Data Analyst, Data Scientist, or ML Engineer.
