Role Description Job Description Role Overview: In this position, you will be responsible for the design, perform operations, engineering, automation, and daily management of Crypto infrastructure, which includes Windows and Linux servers, COTS appliances, and Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) to provide cryptographic capabilities to customers. Your primary focus will be on key management, data, and database security. Key Responsibilities: Design, engineer, automate, and manage Encryption and Key Management (EKM) and PKI infrastructure. Interface with management, engineers, architects, partners, and technology vendors. Collaborate with vendors to understand and influence their technology roadmap, ensuring it meets our needs. Perform hands-on engineering tasks, including application setup, configuration, infrastructure management, issue troubleshooting, and escalation support. Participate in off-hours, on-call support on a rotational basis. Required Qualifications: 4+ years of experience in Information Security Engineering or equivalent (work experience, training, military experience, education). 4+ years of experience in IT applications and systems. 4+ years of Unix/Linux Systems Administration experience, including troubleshooting, OS hardening, and OS tuning. 2+ years of experience with databases such as Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, or Teradata. 2+ years of experience with encryption technologies. Desired Qualifications: Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. 4+ years of experience with scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, Python, Shell). Knowledge of cryptography and key management. Experience with engineering support for technologies such as Thales, Oracle MSSQL TDE, Thales CipherTrust Manager, Thales, Oracle Key Vault, Luna 7, PKI, and other devices. Advanced scripting skills for automation, log rotation, data collection, error collection, and ing. Knowledge of encryption infrastructure servers or appliances. Experience with infrastructure upgrades, security patches, or version upgrades. Ability to design or develop automated solutions to business problems. Experience with digital certificate management. Knowledge of file encryption technology, encryption key management, and information security policies. Familiarity with Splunk. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines. Advanced problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills.
