    About this role

The Privacy Consultant will lead and support client engagements across industries to design, implement, and mature privacy programs aligned with global data protection regulations. The role is responsible for owning workstreams, delivering advisory outputs, and serving as a trusted privacy advisor to business, legal, and technology stakeholders at client organizations.

    Core responsibilities (client-facing)

    • Lead and deliver privacy consulting engagements for multiple clients, including assessments, gap analyses, and implementation roadmaps for GDPR, India DPDPA, CCPA/CPRA, LGPD, PDPA and other global regulations.
    • Conduct and facilitate Data Flow Analysis (DFA) workshops with client teams to map personal data lifecycle, identify high-risk processing, and define remediation and control requirements.
    • Plan, execute, and document DPIA/PIA exercises for new products, platforms, vendors, and highrisk processing, ensuring clear articulation of risks and recommended safeguards.
    • Design and implement privacy governance frameworks for clients, including policies, procedures, ROPA, data subject rights operations, consent and cookie practices, and vendor/privacy due diligence processes.
    • Advise client stakeholders on privacy-by-design and default, participating in product / change review forums and translating legal and regulatory requirements into practical controls for engineering and security teams.
    • Support clients in regulatory readiness activities such as internal audits, regulator queries, and incident/breach response planning from a privacy perspective.
    • Prepare client-ready reports, presentations, and executive readouts summarizing findings, risks, and prioritized remediation roadmaps with clear milestones and KPIs.
    • Deliver tailored privacy awareness and training sessions for client business, technology, and leadership teams to build a culture of privacy.
    • Contribute to presales by supporting proposals, SOWs, effort estimates, and participating in client demos and capability presentations as a subject-matter expert.

    Required skills and qualifications

    • Bachelors degree in law, technology, management, or related field; advanced privacy certifications (CIPP/E, CIPP/A, CIPM, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
    • 3-5 years of experience in data privacy, with at least 1 years in a consulting or clearly client-facing advisory role.
    • Strong working knowledge of key regulations and standards such as GDPR, India DPDPA, CCPA/CPRA, LGPD, PDPA, HIPAA (as relevant), and familiarity with ISO 27701 or NIST Privacy Framework.
    • Demonstrated hands-on experience with DFA, DPIA/PIA, records of processing activities (ROPA), vendor/privacy risk assessments, and privacy program implementation.
    • Ability to translate complex legal and regulatory requirements into practical process, technology, and control recommendations for diverse client environments.
    • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, with experience running workshops and presenting to senior stakeholders at client organizations.
    • Strong project management skills, including planning, tracking, risk/issue management, and working in multi-disciplinary consulting teams.

    Preferred profile

    • Experience working in a consulting firm, Big 4, or specialized privacy / cyber advisory practice with billable utilization targets.
    • Exposure to or hands-on work with privacy and GRC platforms (e.g., OneTrust, TrustArc, BigID, Collibra, or similar).
    • Understanding of adjacent domains such as information security (ISO 27001), data governance, and AI/ML or ad-tech privacy.
    • Experience contributing to thought leadership (blogs, webinars, POV documents) on evolving global privacy regulations and best practices.
