Data Operations Manager

Role: Data Operations Manager

Location: Nagpur (on-site)

• Reports to: CEO

About The Role We collect hundreds of videos and terabytes of Video data every day across dozens of field locations. This role owns what happens to all of that data once it comes in — making sure it lands correctly, is organized and verified, and reaches our annotation and client teams clean, complete, and on time. You are the backbone between field capture and final delivery.

What You'll Own

• End-to-end data flow: ingestion from field teams, organization, cataloging, and handoff to annotation/delivery.
• Quality control at intake — catching corrupt, incomplete, mislabeled, or low-quality captures before they move downstream, and routing issues back to field teams fast.
• Storage management — keeping our storage organized and within capacity, tracking what sits where, and flagging when we're approaching limits (we run at TB/day scale).
• Throughput and tracking — maintaining a daily picture of what was collected, processed, flagged, and delivered, and reporting volumes/bottlenecks to leadership.
• Managing a small data ops team (sorters, QC checkers) as volume scales — assigning work, setting standards, and training.
• Coordinating with field supervisors, annotation lead, and clients on data status and deadlines.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years in data operations, production coordination, media/post-production workflows, or large-scale file/asset management.
• Comfortable working at scale — you've handled large volumes of files daily and didn't lose track of them.
• Strong with organization systems and tools (spreadsheets/trackers at minimum; familiarity with cloud storage, NAS, or data management tools is a plus).
• Detail-obsessed and process-driven — you build systems so nothing slips, rather than firefighting.
• Calm under volume pressure and able to coordinate across field, technical, and client-facing teams.
• Multi-tasker as we are an startup the role would involve wearing multiple-hats.

Nice to have

• Exposure to video/image data, AI/ML datasets, or annotation pipelines.
• Basic scripting or willingness (file renaming, batch checks).
