Roles and Responsibilities:
Design conceptual, logical and physical enterprise data models for a multi-country education platform (Student, Test, Application, Institution, Agent, Payment) on Azure / Databricks lakehouse. Person must build the model, not only govern or review it.
Must have
- Hands-on C/L/P using Erwin and/or ER Studio (or PowerDesigner) they publish the model.
- At least one complex multi-source / multi-country programme (many systems, identity, grain).
- Dimensional modelling (star / snowflake) and/or Data Vault 2.0 (hubs, links, satellites) in production.
- Can explain: business key vs surrogate, grain, bridge/link for many-to-many, SCD Type 2.
- Strong SQL.
- Working knowledge of Azure + Databricks (Delta, Bronze/Silver/Gold).
- Chennai WFO no remote-only, no will consider relocate later.
Good to have
Unity Catalog / Purview / Collibra along with modelling
dbt, STM, data contracts, schema-drift handling
Customer 360 / Party model / cards / insurance / banking identity
Semantic layer for analytics
