Summary: As a

Data Modeler , a typical day involves designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise data models that support business and technical requirements. The role focuses on creating conceptual, logical, and physical data models, managing metadata, optimizing data structures, and ensuring adherence to data governance standards. You will collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-quality data solutions while supporting enterprise data warehousing initiatives.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
• Required active participation and contribution in team discussions.
• Contribute in providing solutions to work-related problems.
• Design, develop, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned with business and technical requirements.
• Implement and manage Teradata Financial Services Logical Data Model (FSLDM) following industry best practices.
• Work extensively with Teradata database technologies, including SQL development, utilities, and performance tuning.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data models, metadata, mappings, and governance standards.
• Perform data analysis, validation, and optimization using advanced SQL techniques.
• Support enterprise data warehouse initiatives, including Medallion Architecture and enterprise data platforms.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and development teams to resolve data quality, modelling, and metadata issues.
• Contribute to enterprise metadata management and data governance initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to data modelling standards, naming conventions, and best practices.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to support enterprise data management initiatives.

Professional & Technical Skills:

• Must Have Skills:
• Strong hands-on experience in Data Modelling.
• Expertise in metadata management tools such as Erwin, ER Studio, or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of conceptual, logical, and physical data modelling.
• Experience with Teradata FSLDM and Teradata database technologies.
• Advanced SQL development and query optimization skills.
• Good To Have Skills:
• Experience with enterprise data warehousing and Medallion Architecture.
• Knowledge of metadata management and data governance frameworks.
• Understanding of Insurance domain data models and business processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Educational Qualification:
