Role - Data Modeler

Location - Bangalore

Experience - 8+ years

Job Summary: An experienced Data Modeler / Lead to design, develop, and maintain data models that support business intelligence and data analytics initiatives. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in data modeling, data warehousing, and data governance.

Responsibilities:

Data Modeling: Design, develop, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models.

Data Warehousing: Work with data architects and business stakeholders to design and implement data warehousing solutions.

Data Governance: Develop and maintain data governance policies, procedures, and standards.

Data modeling techniques for data warehouses primarily include dimensional modeling (star, snowflake schemas) and relational modeling (3NF)

Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements, provide technical guidance, and ensure data quality.

Data Quality: Develop and implement data quality checks and data validation rules.

Required Skills:

Data Modeling: In-depth knowledge of data modeling concepts, including entity-relationship modeling, dimensional modeling, and data vault modeling.

Data Warehousing: Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, including ETL, data marts, and data lakes.

Data Governance: Familiarity with data governance frameworks, including data quality, data security, and data compliance.

Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Tools: Proficiency in data modeling tools, such as ERwin, Informatica PowerDesigner, or IBM InfoSphere Data Architect.

Preferred Skills:

Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as Certified Data Modeler (CDM) or Certified Data Warehouse Architect (CDWA).

Big Data: Experience with big data technologies, such as Hadoop, Spark, or NoSQL databases.

Cloud Experience: Experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Programming: Experience with programming languages, including SQL, Python, or R Role & responsibilities
