Data Modeler / Data Modelling Resource

We are looking for an experienced Data Modeler / Data Modelling Resource with 3–5 years of experience in data modelling, database design, and data management. The candidate should have a strong understanding of data structures and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable and efficient data models.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with technical and business teams and should have hands-on experience in designing conceptual, logical, and physical data models.

Key Responsibilities

Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models based on business and technical requirements.

Analyze business requirements and translate them into appropriate data structures and models.

Create and maintain ER diagrams, data dictionaries, and data flow documentation.

Define relationships between different data entities and ensure data consistency.

Work closely with business analysts, developers, data engineers, and architects to understand data requirements.

Support database design and optimization activities.

Identify data quality, duplication, and consistency issues and recommend appropriate solutions.

Assist in defining data standards, naming conventions, and modelling guidelines.

Understand existing databases and perform data model analysis for enhancements or migration projects.

Collaborate with development teams to ensure the physical implementation aligns with the approved data models.

Document data structures, relationships, business rules, and dependencies.

Support data integration, ETL, reporting, and analytics requirements wherever required.

Good to Have

Experience with cloud data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Exposure to Data Warehousing / Data Lakes / Lakehouse concepts.

Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines.

Experience with tools such as ERwin, ER/Studio, Lucidchart, Visio, or similar data modelling tools.

Exposure to dimensional modelling, including Star and Snowflake schemas.

Experience working in Agile development environments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Candidate Profile

The candidate should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with both technical and business stakeholders. Experience working on enterprise-level data modelling or database projects will be preferred.
