About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Data Management Expert (DME) to join our team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting data transformation initiatives within the Customer Data, KYC, AML, and Financial Crime domains. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining robust data pipelines and governance frameworks to ensure high-quality, compliant, and accessible data across the organization. The DME will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, compliance officers, and business stakeholders, to deliver data solutions that enable informed decision-making and regulatory compliance. The position offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with a strong background in data governance, ETL processes, and banking data to contribute to impactful projects in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 9 years of experience in data management, with a strong understanding of data governance and banking domain expertise. Proficiency in SQL and data warehousing concepts is essential, along with hands-on experience working with IBM DataStage for ETL development. Familiarity with data governance tools such as Collibra or IBM Governance Catalog is required. Candidates should have a solid understanding of data quality, retention, and compliance standards, especially within financial services. A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Certifications in data management or governance frameworks will be considered an advantage. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain ETL/data pipelines using IBM DataStage to support data integration and transformation tasks.
• Design and manage data lakes, master data management (MDM), and large-scale data repositories to facilitate efficient data access and analysis.
• Perform comprehensive data profiling, cleansing, and validation to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
• Establish and enforce data governance and quality frameworks aligned with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
• Support data modeling activities, including designing star and snowflake schemas for analytical purposes.
• Work with datasets related to KYC, AML, CDD, and Transaction Monitoring to ensure data integrity and compliance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders in an Agile environment to understand business requirements and deliver data solutions accordingly.
• Maintain documentation related to data processes, standards, and governance policies.
• Stay updated with emerging data management trends and incorporate best practices into the organization’s data strategy.
