Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Data Engineer role based in New Delhi. The Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines that support core product features, analytics, and reporting. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and optimizing ETL processes, modeling data structures for data warehouses and data marts, and ensuring data quality, reliability, and security across systems. The role involves collaborating with product, engineering, and analytics teams to understand data needs, integrating data from multiple internal and external sources, and improving performance of data workflows. The Data Engineer will also contribute to best practices in data engineering, documentation, and monitoring to support BillCut’s technology-driven financial solutions.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Data Engineering and building scalable, reliable data pipelines.
- Experience with Data Modeling and designing efficient data structures for analytical and operational use.
- Proficiency in Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes and Data Warehousing solutions.
- Ability to work with Data Analytics teams to provide clean, well-structured data for insights and reporting.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and one or more programming languages commonly used in data engineering (such as Python, Scala, or Java).
- Familiarity with modern data platforms and tools (e.g., cloud data warehouses, distributed processing frameworks, orchestration tools).
- Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment and communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Experience in fintech or financial services is a plus.
