Data Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Develop and maintain SQL databases and scalable data pipelines for analytics.
• Develop and optimize data flows and ETL processes to ensure integrity and availability.
• Work with cross-functional teams to deliver clean datasets for reporting.
• Create Power BI dashboards and reports for stakeholders.
• Implement automation and process improvements using VB Scripting, Python, or similar languages.
• Support web-based data solutions; web development experience (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
• Document data models and workflows for knowledge sharing and scalability.
• Clearly communicate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in computer science, IT, Data Science, or related field.
• 4–5 years’ experience with SQL databases, data pipelines, and ETL.
• Strong SQL skills in database design, optimization, and queries.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Power BI experience for report and dashboard development and Data modeling.
• Effective communication abilities.
• Self-motivated and committed to ongoing learning.
• Web development knowledge (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or frameworks)
• Familiarity with cloud-based data solutions and integration tools.
