Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer with strong expertise in DBT, SQL, data transformation, and modern data warehousing. The candidate will be responsible for developing reliable data pipelines, building scalable data models, and implementing data transformation workflows using DBT.
Roles & Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows.
* Develop and maintain DBT models, macros, tests, snapshots, seeds, and incremental models.
* Build efficient and reusable SQL queries and data transformation logic.
* Design and implement data models for analytical and reporting requirements.
* Work with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, or Azure Synapse.
* Perform data validation, data quality checks, and troubleshooting of data issues.
* Optimize SQL queries and DBT models for performance and scalability.
* Develop and maintain DBT documentation and source definitions.
* Integrate DBT workflows with orchestration tools such as Airflow or Azure Data Factory.
* Work with Python/PySpark for data processing and automation.
* Implement CI/CD practices for DBT deployments.
* Monitor data pipelines and resolve production issues within agreed timelines.
* Collaborate with Data Analysts, BI Developers, Architects, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements.
* Follow data engineering best practices related to security, governance, version control, and code quality.
