About The Role

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team on a contract basis for a duration of six months. This remote position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a critical Snowflake Data Migration project. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing data pipelines and transformations using a suite of advanced tools including Snowflake, Microsoft Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, dbt, and Azure DevOps. The role requires a proactive individual capable of managing complex data workflows, ensuring data quality, and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Proficiency in Snowflake data platform, including creating objects, loading, and testing data.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Data Lake and Azure Data Factory for building and managing data pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of dbt for data transformation and modeling.
• Experience with Azure DevOps for code management, version control, and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data migration projects and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Azure Data Factory pipelines to facilitate data ingestion and processing.
• Create and optimize dbt transformation scripts to model and transform data within Snowflake.
• Work closely with the team to create Snowflake database objects, load data, and perform testing to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
• Implement and manage code repositories using Azure DevOps, ensuring version control and streamlined deployment processes.
• Collaborate with data analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and optimize data workflows for performance and reliability.
• Document technical specifications, workflows, and best practices for ongoing maintenance and knowledge sharing.
