About this role

We are hiring for one of our leading clients for an experienced Data Engineer to design, develop, and maintain modern cloud-based data platform solutions.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Snowflake, dbt, Azure Data Factory, Microsoft Fabric, ADLS Gen2, Python, and SQL, along with experience in building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and modern lakehouse architectures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines using Azure cloud technologies.
- Build scalable and reliable ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, process, and transform data from multiple sources.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF).
- Design and develop data warehouse solutions using Snowflake.
- Develop data transformation and modelling workflows using dbt.
- Build and maintain Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse and Warehouse solutions.
- Work with ADLS Gen2 for scalable data storage and data processing.
- Implement Bronze, Silver, and Gold data layers following modern lakehouse architecture.
- Develop optimized SQL queries and perform performance tuning.
- Use Python for data processing, automation, and pipeline development.
- Implement automated data quality checks, validation, and pipeline testing.
- Design and maintain data models and schemas for reporting and analytics.
- Follow data governance, security, metadata management, and data quality practices.
- Collaborate with BI, analytics, and business teams to understand data requirements.
- Work effectively with remote/offshore engineering teams and provide technical guidance when required.
- Maintain technical documentation and support knowledge transfer.
Must-Have Skills:
- 5+ years of relevant Data Engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake.
- Hands-on experience with dbt.
- Strong experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF).
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse, Warehouse, and Dataflows.
- Experience with Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 (ADLS Gen2).
- Strong Python programming skills.
- Advanced SQL.
- Strong experience in ETL/ELT pipeline development.
- Experience in Data Modelling and Schema Design.
- Experience with Data Quality and Validation frameworks.
- Good knowledge of Git / Version Control.
- Understanding of CI/CD fundamentals.
- Strong understanding of modern cloud data engineering architecture.
Good to Have
- Exposure to GCP.
- Familiarity with AI/ML platforms.
- Knowledge of data governance and metadata management.
- Experience with Power BI or other BI/reporting tools.
- Experience working with distributed/offshore teams.
Candidate Profile
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to independently develop, troubleshoot, and optimize data pipelines.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Comfortable working in a US shift 9:30 PM to 6:30 AM IST.
- Immediate joiners are preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
