Description We are seeking skilled Power BI Developers to support a large-scale BI transformation initiative involving the migration of Tableau reports to Power BI and the repointing of data sources from on-premises data source to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role requires strong expertise in data visualization, data modeling, and cloud-based data integration, along with the ability to deliver high-quality reporting solutions aligned with business requirements and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing Tableau dashboards, data models, and calculations, and lead their migration to Power BI.
• Rebuild and enhance dashboards in Power BI, ensuring functional parity while improving performance and usability (UX/UI).
• Translate Tableau logic (including LOD expressions and complex calculations) into DAX and Power Query (M).
• Design and develop interactive reports, dashboards, and scalable semantic data models using Power BI best practices (e.g., star/snowflake schema).
• Develop optimized DAX measures, calculated columns, and implement performance tuning techniques (query optimization, aggregations).
• Drive data source migration from on-prem Oracle to GCP (BigQuery or equivalent), including redesign of data ingestion pipelines where required.
• Ensure data consistency, integrity, and performance optimization in cloud-based environments.
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Power Query, GCP tools (e.g., BigQuery, Dataflow), and optionally Python; integrate APIs when needed.
• Manage Power BI Service deployment, including dataset publishing, gateway configuration, scheduled refresh, and row-level security (RLS).
• Collaborate with stakeholders for UAT, validation, and final delivery.

• Bachelor’s degree in IT with min 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence / Analytics.
• Strong hands-on expertise in:
• Power BI (Desktop & Service)
• DAX, Data Modeling, and Power Query (M language)
• Experience with Tableau (developer-level), specifically for migration to Power BI.
• Strong proficiency in SQL with experience in Oracle and/or Big Query.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
• Proven experience in BI and data migration projects, including:
• Tableau → Power BI migration
• On-premise → Cloud data platform transition
• Familiarity with GCP ecosystem (Big Query, Dataflow, etc.) is preferred.
• Experience in performance tuning large datasets and reports.
• Nice-to-have:
• Exposure to Azure or multi-cloud environments
• Knowledge of DevOps / CI-CD practices in BI
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work closely with business stakeholders to gather and translate requirements.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple reports and complex migration scenarios effectively.
