Data Engineer - ETL

About Position:

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with strong expertise in ETL development, data integration, and enterprise data engineering solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and data platforms that support business-critical reporting, analytics, and digital transformation initiatives. The role requires hands-on experience with modern ETL tools, cloud data platforms, and data warehousing concepts. Experience in the BFSI/Insurance domain is mandatory.

What You'll Do:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL/ELT workflows and enterprise data pipelines.
• Build, enhance, and support Data Lake and Data Warehouse solutions.
• Perform source-to-target mapping, data transformation, and data validation activities.
• Develop scalable and efficient cloud-based data integration solutions.
• Optimize ETL jobs for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data processing and production issues.
• Support data migration, modernization, and transformation initiatives.
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to understand data requirements.
• Ensure data quality, accuracy, governance, and compliance standards are maintained.
• Participate in testing, deployment, release management, and production support activities.
• Develop solutions that support enterprise reporting, analytics, and business intelligence requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of data engineering processes and best practices.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 5 to 7 years of experience in Data Engineering and ETL Development.
• Hands-on expertise with ETL tools such as Informatica, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Databricks, SSIS, or equivalent technologies.
• Strong SQL programming and database development skills.
• Experience working with databases such as Snowflake, SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or BigQuery.
• Good understanding of Data Lake, Data Warehouse, and Data Modeling concepts.
• Experience working on cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Knowledge of OLTP systems, dimensional modeling, and data architecture principles.
• Experience implementing data transformation, integration, and migration solutions.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in an Agile development environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Mandatory experience in BFSI or Insurance domain projects.
