Role Overview:

Coordinates and oversees all testing and commissioning (T&C) activities for critical data center infrastructure, ensuring all electrical, mechanical, and safety systems operate safely, efficiently, and strictly in accordance with design intent, industry standards, and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• T&C Execution & Oversight: Plan, manage and execute Level 1–5 Testing & Commissioning (T&C), including script execution and Integrated Systems Testing (IST).
• Pre-Sales & Tender Support: Support BD and Estimation teams in technical proposals, client presentations and tender negotiations, with commissioning inputs and technical clarifications.
• Commissioning Planning & Risk Management: Identify commissioning requirements, risks, assumptions, exclusions and deviations during tendering and develop mitigation strategies prior to project award.
• Stakeholder & Team Coordination: Coordinate commissioning activities with internal engineering, execution and QA/QC teams, CxA, OEMs, vendors and trade contractors.
• Quality, Safety & Compliance: Conduct pre-commissioning risk assessments, review Method Statements/RAMS and ensure safe execution of live-power testing and commissioning activities.
• Troubleshooting & Problem Resolution: Lead cross-functional teams in diagnosing and resolving technical issues during energization, testing and load trials.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain commissioning scripts, test results, Level 1–5 punch lists, issue trackers and final commissioning reports for system sign-off and handover.
• Process Standardization: Establish and standardize commissioning procedures, checklists, test formats and documentation across projects.
• Digitalization & Continuous Improvement: Leverage AI tools and digital T&C workflow platforms to improve reporting accuracy, turnaround time and overall commissioning efficiency.
• Project Handover: Ensure completion of commissioning activities, closure of outstanding issues and submission of complete documentation for client acceptance and project handover.

Qualifications & Experience:

• B.E./B.Tech./Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical or related Engineering.
  8–15 years of relevant MEP/commissioning experience.
  Minimum 5+ years of Data Centre / Mission Critical / Critical Infrastructure commissioning experience preferred.
  Experience in large-scale Data Centre projects is highly desirable.
  CCP or equivalent commissioning certification preferred.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Data Centre MEP systems and critical infrastructure.
  Expertise in electrical and mechanical commissioning.
  Knowledge of BMS, EPMS, DCIM, PLC/SCADA and controls integration.
  Strong understanding of FAT, SAT, L1–L5 commissioning, FPT and IST.
  Strong project management, troubleshooting and stakeholder management skills.
  Strong documentation, communication and analytical skills.

Other Requirements:

• Proficiency in MS Office and commissioning documentation tools.
  Knowledge of ASHRAE, NFPA and Uptime Institute concepts preferred.
  Willingness to travel and work at project sites.
  Ability to work under critical project timelines and commissioning schedules.

Stakeholder Interfaces

• Internal: Coordinate with Execution, QA/QC, Design & Engineering, and other cross-functional project teams.
• External: Liaise with Clients, Commissioning Agents (CxA), OEMs, Subcontractors, and Material/Service Suppliers.
