Role Description The Data Analyst role at Garlic Insurance is a full-time, on-site position based in Delhi, India. This role is responsible for collecting, cleaning, and analyzing internal and external data related to underwriting, claims, and customer behavior to support decision-making across the business. Day-to-day tasks include building and maintaining dashboards, preparing periodic reports, and performing statistical analyses to identify trends, patterns, and risk indicators. The Data Analyst will collaborate with underwriting, sales, and operations teams to translate data findings into practical insights and recommendations, and will support the development of predictive models for specialty lines such as E&O, Cyber, EPLI, and bonds.
What You'll Do
- Design dashboards and perform analyses that support informed business decisions
- Monitor and interpret key business metrics, identifying trends and performance drivers
- Transform complex data into actionable insights, scalable models, and reliable decision-making tools
- Develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines, datasets, and production-ready models
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define business questions, success metrics, and reporting needs
- Present analytical findings in a clear and meaningful way to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Promote best practices in data quality, documentation, reproducibility, and responsible data management
What We're Looking For
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python (or similar programming languages), with a solid understanding of statistics
- Experience deploying analytics, data, or machine learning solutions from initial concept through production
- Ability to communicate analytical insights and translate them into business value
- Commitment to maintaining data privacy and applying ethical, responsible practices in data analysis and model development
